Birmingham
It used to be that the only time that a club's finances were in the news was once a year when the owners published the accounts. Invariably things were great.
With clubs being bought and sold, and the press being more interested in new foreign owners this has changed.
This site hopefully presents to you the financial results in words that we can all understand. All the numbers quoted about the club have come from the club's own accounts. If a mistake has been made in this, and you spot it, then PLEASE let us know, the aim is to be as honest as can be. If you have more accurate information then please get in touch.
The results for Birmingham show a very well club under the previous owners. The club may well have yo-yoed in and out of the Premier League over the years however the financial side of the business looks to have been very well run.
It could well be that the owners were not liked for not putting in more of their own money, and living the dream. This compares well against the financial mess that is Portsmouth, and the total dependency of other clubs on sugar daddy owners like, well like everybody else really.
The new owner may have more cash of his own to invest, or he may not, it is difficult to tell.
