Celtic - Income
This graph shows the breakdown of the money Celtic has taken in since 1997.
The total income since 1st August 1996 is just over £545m.
The amount of money coming into the club is key to its ability to compete. Of course the figure peaked in 2004 with the Uefa Cup money. This was then swamped by the income in 2007 due to the great run in the Champions League

The graph below shows the split of the income across the areas the club report. The biggest change over the last ten years is in gate receipts and TV money. The £2m from TV in 1997 is dwarfed by the £16m in 2004. Playing in Europe is key.
The drop from 2004 to 2006 is purely down to Cup games. The lack of Champions League football in 2006 with an early exit from the Scottish Cup was the reason for the shortfall.
The 2007 figures again show the leap from the Champions League successes. The biggest leap comes from the TV money.

The final graph shows the split of the income for 2007. The bums on seats amount is still the biggest, but in this year the TV money contribution is huge.
