Celtic - Where the money comes from
This graphs below show how the different areas have contributed to the club turnover.
The gate receipts are directly linked to the number of Cup games played, and more specifically the number of European games. The 2006 drop being due to the early exit from the Champions League and Scottish Cup.

The TV money was flat through 2002-2005 but dropped dramatically after the Artmedia disaster.
The 2007 figure is fantastic. Uefa give to a team for playing in the the Champions League depending on which country they are representing. So England gets a big chunk, but it has to be shared between its four sides. Cletic being successful, and being the only Scottish representative meant they were even more fully rewarded, than if another Scottish side had competed.

The money made from club shops has grown steadily over the years, with just the blip in the year ending July 2005. This was put down to tough times on the High Street and the change of kit manufacturer from Umbro to Nike, and the need to have a quick sale of all the old Umbro kit at reduced prices.
The 2007 figure is down as it was the second year for that strip.

The stadium earns a small amount compared to other parts of the business but it is still a useful source of money.

The numbers involved are again small but there is the added benefit of attracting kids to the club. Before 1999 the club did not separate this out in their accounts so the numbers are not shown.
