Dundee United - Interest Payments

United has to pay out interest on loans taken out for various purposes.

The graph below shows that the club has been paying out an ever increasing amount to service its borrowings. Most of the club borrowings are from the bank.

The club have a loan of £6m which is being charged interest at 1.5% over the base rate. This will be paid off in 92 instalments at roughly £65,000 per month from 30 September 2007

The directors have also made loans available to the club over recent years. In 2007 the outstanding amounts owed to directors was £259,000.

The comparative figures for Hibs and Aberdeen show them paying slightly more. Hearts are paying £1.8m a year, or £35000 per week.
