The graph below shows the amounts paid each year to bring in new players. These figures may not have been quoted in the press but they are the figures that the club report in their accounts.

From 2001 onwards the amount paid out each season had been fairly flat at around £400,000, before dropping in 2007. The figures probably reflect the ease of getting players on free-transfers through Bosmans.
