Everton- Income

This graph shows the breakdown of the money Everton has taken in since 2002.

The total income since 1st August 2001 is just over £247m.

The amount of money coming into the club is key to its ability to compete. Over the last 5 years the annual turnover has increased roughly 50%.

Most of this extra money is from Sky payments, although there is a healthy increase in commercial money as well. Commercial covers shirts and sponsorship. The big problem seems to be the money made from bums on seats. The gates receipts in 2002 were £13.4m in 2006 they were £18.1m. A direct comparison would be Newcastle whose lowest figure in the same period was £27m, and their highest £35.2m. That gives them a huge advantage in ability to spend money.

The split of what makes up "Comercial" is available, email us if you really need to see it !
