Interest Payments

Clubs have to pay out interest on loans taken out for various purposes.

The graph below shows that Falkirk were in the amazing position of having no interest payments up to 2007, and in fact making money from having cash in the bank and no debts. Up to St Mirren's ground move none of the other team in the SPL that have been looked at are in this position.

This has changed over the last two seasons. The books contain no information about bank loans so the interest must come from the other loans, which mainly seem to be from the directors. The loans are never more than £310,000 so the interest of £140,000 doesn't stack up. Again anyone with a better understanding/explanation of this please get in touch
