Over the last few years many attempts have been made at trying to
present the debt figures to try and get some understanding of what is
going on. These can be seen on the 2008 results page.
This year
this has been simplified and the single graph below shows the figure the
club are quoting as the Net Debt.
This is the total of all the
money that has been borrowed by the club, that is still outstanding.
Some of it is classified as having to be paid within a year, others as
older than a year. All of this is essentially irrelevant as all the
money is owed to companies that are owned, or controlled by the
Romanovs.
For any other company, or club, the situation would be
completely unworkable, and the bank would have done something about the
situation.
