Hearts - Where the money comes from
This graphs below show how the different areas have contributed to the club turnover.
The amount of money coming in from gate receipts is shown below. This looks to be fairly flat, with the occasional good year, occasional bad, but a running average around £4m-5m. The club’s stated aim of increasing capacity would give the potential for gate receipts to rise.
The broadcasting total is directly related to the success on the pitch. The 2006 figure comes directly from the Cup run, and looks to be a blip. The 2008 figure is very disappointing..

The only great success for turnover would seem to be the Commercial area of the business. This covers amongst other things the sales from the club shops, and sponsorship deals. This has improved despite the team results.
