Hibs - Shareholders
There are 60m shares in the company known as the Hibernian Football Club. Over the years a small number of these shares have been owned by people who have come and gone as directors.
By July 2006 only Rod Petrie and Tim Gardiner were listed as shareholders, with 5000 shares each. During 2004 Ken Lewandowski, Rod Petrie, Stephen Dunn, Scott Lindsay and Tim Gardiner all at some point owned 5000 shares. Back in the 2002 accounts Malcolm McPherson, Scott Steve Powell and Errick Davidson did.
98% of the shares in the football club are owned by H.F.C. Holdings Ltd. H.F.C Holdings were, up to 2005, owned by Tom Farmer (90%) and Rod Petrie (10%). In 2006 they issued 500,000 "preferred shares" in HFC to Morston Securities in return for a change in status of £5m of a loan. I have to admit to not having a clue what all that means and would love it if someone could help my understanding and allow me to pass it on to here for everyone to understand. If you can help then contact me.
H.F.C. Holdings Ltd is a subsidiary of Halecrown Investments Limited which is 100% owned by Sir Tom Farmer.
