Income

This graph shows  the money Hull have taken in since 2002.

The total income since 2002 is just under £106m, with roughly half that from one season in the Premiership.

The amount of money coming into the club is key to its ability to compete. The graph shows perfectly the limitations of even being in the Championship, never mind Leagues One or Two. The success of the promotion season came through as increased gate receipts, and increased commercial revenue.

Income Unfortunately Hull do not split out the various income streams, so it isn't easy to say which areas are doing particularly well. A note in the 2008 accounts states that the gate receipts went up from £4.1m to £4.4m in 2008, despite a drop in attendances through the year.

The accounts state that the 2009 increase is made up of £33.5m from Sky money, and the rest from increased gate receipts and commercial revenues.

The parachute payment will be £16m for at least two years, which should help with relegation, but it will still be a hue hit to lose close to £20m from your income.
