The graph below shows the reported profit of Liverpool. Again the figures are shown for the club, and for Kop Holdings.
For a supporter, as opposed to an investor the target would be to see the club breaking even every year. This would hopefully mean every available penny that has come into the club has been spent on improving things. The total loss made by the club from 2001 to 2008 is over £19m. In 2008 the Kop Holdings made a loss on its own of £43m.Without the Jeffers and Rooney sales the club would have lost £20m in the last 5 years, their sales meant the club made a profit of £13m over the period.
