The amount of money paid to directors has grown steadily from £240,000 in 1999 to a peak of just under £1m in 2008, which was a good year on the pitch. 2009 has been appalling year financially but the directors are still being paid 20% more than in 2007.
Similarly the highest paid director was paid 30% more in 2009 than in 2007.
