Rangers - Directors
The graph below shows the total amount of money paid to the directors of the club.
The amount of money paid to directors has grown steadily from £240,000 in 1999 to £778,000 in 2006. Of this the amount paid to the highest paid director, presumably either Murray or Bain, rose to £527,000 in 2006.
The Rangers directors have paid themselves £779.000 in 2006 and £665,000 in 2005, compared to the Celtic figures of just under £600,000 for those two years. Comparing with Spurs and Newcastle, who have similar incomes, the total pay for the directors at Rangers seems reasonable. (Daniel Levy pays himself £750,000 per year, and Freddie Shepherd paid himself £500,000 per year).
