Rangers - Where the money comes from

This graphs below show how the different areas have contributed to the club turnover.

Rangers do not separate out the TV money which most other clubs do. If the TV figure is £12m a year then the "bums on seats" money is a lot smaller than their direct competitors. So Newcastle for example, with a capacity of 52,000 had gate receipts of nearly £31m in 2006, when Rangers look to have no more than £18m.

 

 

The sponsorship money clearly benefited from Champions League football.

 

 

The money made from club shops has grown steadily over the years, and is now at a fantastic level. The long term deal with JJB Sports to sell the club merchandise should guarantee this stays high.

 

 

The amount of money made from Publishing and Catering is small, fairly flat, but still useful.
