The graph below shows the reported profits of St Mirren.
It is clear that the club is run very tightly. The profits and losses move very small amounts. The 2004 and 2005 minor losses match up with the league positions, and the corresponding increases in 2006 and 2007 with a more successful team performance.
The first graph below shows the figures up to 2007. The lower graph shows the 2008 figures included. The ground deal so swamps everything that the second one is really doesn't show anything useful !
The club made £123k in the 8 seasons up to 2007, a superb display of tight financial control. The 2008 and 2009 figures shoe the huge benefit of the ground deal.
