Income

This graph shows the breakdown of the money Watford has taken in since 2002.

The total income since 1st July 2001 is just over 126m.

The amount of money coming into the club is key to its ability to compete. The difference between the income in the Championship, and that in the Premier League is clear to see. The huge leap in 2007 was from the new Sky contract kicking. The 2009 figure is roughly the same as 2008. The expectation has to be that the income will be roughly 8.5m as that is what it was previously.

The last couple of years the club has split out where it gets it money from. The graph below shows how the 2009 money was split. Again this emphasises the dependency on the Sky money, and how bad the finances will get during 2009-2010.
